Glowing Skin: What Not to Neglect in Your Beauty Routine
Good skincare doesn't require complicated steps, just as it doesn't require a lot of time and money.
Basically, maintaining glowing and healthy skin involves three basic steps:
Cleansing, i.e. cleansing the skin to free it from dirt, impurities, make-up residues and smog particles that settle in the pores, removing light from the complexion;
Hydration, to rebalance the skin and provide it with the elements it needs to maintain its important barrier function;
Sunscreen to protect the skin from the harmful effects of ultraviolet rays.
Skin age does not always coincide with chronological age. From this point of view, there are many factors that play a role (genetic predisposition, adoption of bad habits such as smoking and drinking alcohol, etc.). In any case, skincare should start early: the effects of sun, weather and smog know no age.
What To Do To Keep Your Skin Glowing
The first step to avoid a dull complexion is to adopt the good habit of washing the skin with particular care, in the morning and in the evening, with specific cleansing products for your skin type.
Cleansing your skin with a facial cleanser is the most effective way to:
Dissolve and facilitate the easy removal of dirt, debris and excess sebum;
Counteract dull and dull complexion;
Oxygenate the skin;
Prepare for subsequent treatments.
For facial cleansing, it is better to opt for non-aggressive cleansers, preferably skin-compatible, which remove impurities and make-up residues, removing only the superficial part of sebum. These products should be massaged gently, then rinsed thoroughly so as not to leave any residue. For facial skin hygiene, it is possible to use, as an alternative, a cleansing milk that eliminates the oiliness of the skin by acting by affinity, which can be followed by the application of a toner based on astringent botanical extracts, soothing and rebalancing the skin biofilm.
To reach deep and gently remove particles of dirt, sebum residues and keratin that clog pores, where impurities accumulate, it is advisable to use, on a regular basis, scrubs with smoothing microgranules and purifying masks. Alternating the application of these "intensive" cosmetics in such a way as to apply them at least once a week, allow you to keep the skin radiant and clean, but not excessively impoverished.
To optimize the removal of sebum and deeper impurities, often the cause of blackheads and pimples, it is possible to occasionally resort to the power of steam: humidity helps to moisturize the skin and dilate pores, facilitating the cleaning of impurities, pollutants and dead cells that clog them.

Moisturize to Maintain Integrity and Boost the Skin Barrier
The application of a good moisturizer plays a fundamental role in keeping intact the invisible but powerful barrier represented by the skin surface. These cosmetics have the task of providing the essential hydration so that the epidermis, the natural defense for the skin, is adequately reconstituted and performs its physiological function in the most efficient way. In other words, moisturizing cosmetics preserve the dpelicate balance of the skin's surface, on which firmness, radiance and freshness depend.
At the same time, moisturizers create a protective film, protecting against environmental aggressors, reducing the negative effects caused by free radicals and hindering the penetration of pollutants and other substances potentially harmful to the skin.
The choices can be different: from creams, also ideal as a make-up base, to serums to be used alone or in combination with the usual care products.
Staying Hydrated From Within
Drinking 1.5-2 litres of water has a positive impact on normal skin physiology. The skin contains about 30% water when it is healthy. For this reason, an adequate intake of water throughout the day helps to keep the skin glowing from within. On the other hand, drinks with diuretic properties, such as alcohol and coffee, contribute to making the skin surface rough to the touch and dry.
Protect Against Aggression and Prevent Damage with Sunscreens
The final step of a good skincare program is often the most overlooked.
Sunscreen is now an indispensable component of any daily routine, taking into account that SPF filters are not only useful in summer, but also protect the skin in the cold season.
In fact, it should be remembered that ultraviolet rays are among the most bitter enemies of skin health: they trigger oxidation reactions, minimize natural protection against free radical damage and predispose to premature skin aging. Read more:Sun protection for every skin
